In Order to get Bigger, You Must Simplify!

Continent of Arrotha in the World of Mithia
Here I am with another map update. So if you look at the map on the right here, you will probably notice that it looks incredibly similar to earlier renditions of this map, but with some major differences.

So what was happening as I was setting out to complete this world and fill it in was that I was discovering that 1) It takes an extremely long time to complete a full world map. 2) If you try to get super detailed with your map, you're going to run into a lot of very repetitive scenery and ultimately, it wouldn't do you a lot of good. So I decided that what I want to do is just to complete the main geographical features of the world map, and in order to do that, I had to pretty much start over with the old map.

So what you're seeing there, the more appropriately labeled Arrotha which is the continent in Mithia where the story takes place, in it's simplified form. I actually took everything down to the bare bones by hiding all of the essential layers like "land" and deleting literally everything else. Then, I very purposefully recreated the world with a more simplified look. So, for one, you will notice that there are not little trees on every square inch of the map. And the roads only show the major roads and no longer bother with minor roads at all. The goal is to keep everything... simple.

Also, I apologize that this is not a very high quality image. I converted just this part of the map into a pdf and then screenshot it. Hopefully when I'm done with the full map, I will be able to convince the software to let me produce a good-quality image for all of you.
