What is Tiemriel's Revenge?

Tiemriel's Revenge is a high fantasy novel currently in the making. Inspired by stories from the Forgotten Realms universe, as well as adventures in Dungeons and Dragons, I drew my inspiration from my own personal connection and fascination with the fantasy world.

Tiemriel's Revenge is a story that takes place in a brand new world, Mithia.

Map of Mithia
The inspiration for Mithia came from hosting Dungeons and Dragons games that were set in the Forgotten Realms universe.

Being a huge fan of that setting, I knew a lot about that universe and its history, I had read many stories written in that setting, and I had often take a lot of consideration about the events of that world and how they impacted my characters when I was creating them, often times spending more time doing fantasy research than actual character creation.

The point at which I realized that I wanted a world of my own was when it suddenly struck me that all the major civilizations and cities had already been established, and the only room left for creative development was in the in-between.

That desire to create and grow my own setting gave birth to Mithia.

Finally, I decided to make writing a major pursuit in my life. I sat down and began writing about my favorite Dungeons and Dragons character, Elrin Frostborn, and had written out a scene where he was talking to a dragon.

Every day after that, I would make myself sit down before heading out to work and write something new that was taking place in my new world of Mithia. I repeated the process day-in and day-out, sometimes writing about Elrin but most of the time writing about some new characters and always trying to think of a new scenario to throw my characters in, never really setting up the scene in any definite terms or even concluding the interactions. They were just glimmers of story that I found interesting!

Finally, after a month and a half of doing this, it was clear that whatever story was going to emerge was going to be centered around Elefain, the young female elf from the Duskwood, and Belmar, the sturdy and aged dwarf from Bel Buldohr. They were in nearly every glimmer that I wrote! And as I added more to my stock-pile of writings, a story naturally emerged until the story was writing itself as much as I was the author of that story.

I am proud to now be at over fifty-two thousand words and counting, and I feel that it will be a matter of no time at all before this story is a full-fledged novel. And soon after, I expect to get it published and placed on the shelves as I begin writing the sequel in this three-part series.

Please, feel free to ask any questions. I might post some "tid-bits" of the story or other writings related to the world in the meantime. Please remember to follow my twitter page where I will try to keep you all up-to-date on the latest developments in the publishing process so that you can run to the store and pick it up as soon as it's available for purchase.

When Will Tiemriel's Revenge be Released?

I have recently started a new project. So I've decided to prematurely release Tiemriel's Revenge. The story is still incomplete, but nearly finished. I will finish it eventually, especially if anyone gets to the latest chapter I have up, but I just wasn't satisfied with the story enough to send it to a publisher. So what else was there to do besides post it here for all to read for free?

Where Can I Read Tiemriel's Revenge?

I have posted all of the chapters to this blog site. The best way to start reading is to go to the Navigation Page where I have posted links to each of the chapters. If you read it, please leave me some feedback. I would love to hear what people think.

Keep in mind that I've decided to post this here because I wasn't personally satisfied enough with it to want to send it to publishers and have another project going on now instead. And secondly, I was never able to get to a final stage of the story since I was only nearing completion of the drafting stage. That being said, any criticism is welcome. I won't take it too personally. But do try to be constructive and sincere in your criticism.
